After pupils from Offenbach schools had chosen the new delegates for the children’s and youth parliament in October and they got to know each other at a first seminar in Hafen 2 at the weekend, it is time for the constituent general assembly so that the newly elected parliamentarians can do their work This will take place on Wednesday, December 1st, at 4 p.m. in the Mariensaal at Krafftstraße 21.
Children and adolescents under the age of 18 with a daily negative test result (test booklet) can take part, for adults 2G + applies. It is compulsory to wear a mask during the entire event.
“We are looking forward to nice people, new encounters and great projects in the 12th KJP”, explains Lia Dreger from the current board, “especially since we had to postpone the new elections for a year due to the corona”. In addition to the election of the new board and the farewell to the old board, planning the first thematic priorities is also on the agenda. Needs, wishes and initial topics had already been discussed during the introductory days.
Pupils from the third grade of an Offenbach school who are not yet in their final year can become members of the KJP. But even those who are not elected can get involved at any time in the working groups or in the children’s group of the children’s and youth parliament.
