What do you want to change in the school system so that vacant teaching positions can be filled permanently?

Udo Wernitz (SPD): We have already achieved a lot and will launch programs to ensure that older teachers can continue to contribute their expertise and commitment to high-quality education in our country. We are placing particular emphasis on promoting language and mathematical skills in primary schools and will increase teaching in these subjects.

Lars Hünich (AfD): With practice-oriented training, more university places, a return to the state examination, migrant quotas and German before entering regular classes, there is more knowledge transfer and teachers have greater authority. Cutting ideological programs creates money for administrative specialists.

Kevin Bolz (CDU): The shortage of teachers was greatly underestimated by the SPD education ministers – second to last place in the education monitor. We want to increase the number of study places, enable the recruitment of student teachers with only one subject and further develop and expand the Brandenburg scholarship for rural teachers.

Nicole Stroncik (Greens): How can I want to be a teacher if I don’t feel like going to school as a student because I don’t know what I’m learning for? The curriculum and the courses need to be reformed. The teaching task must be the main focus, teachers must not also be social workers, office workers and substitute parents.

Claudia Wipfli (Left): Better equipment in schools, smaller classes for more individual attention, improved teacher training and continuing education, more flexible curricula and multi-professional teams in schools. These measures increase the attractiveness of the teaching profession and improve educational opportunities for everyone.

Thomas Schulz (Free Voters): Scholarship for future teachers in rural areas, provision of housing for young teachers.

Simone Kraatz (FDP): Teachers must be trained in a way that is tailored to their needs and is practical. Modern and well-equipped schools and a reduction in administrative tasks make the teaching profession more attractive. Schools should be given more flexibility in how they use financial resources.
