If you have fever and constipation, you should not self-diagnose. These two symptoms alone are not specific enough to help you narrow the diagnosis, and you may need medical treatment.
But one possibility is certain, you could have diverticulitis. Inflammation or infection of one or more small pouches in the digestive tract, caused by bacteria trapped in these pouches.
In addition to fever, diverticulitis can also cause pain on the left side of your abdomen. Some people also experience nausea and vomiting.
The most important thing to do in that situation is not to delay treatment and see a doctor immediately.
