Happiness is the key to health
The habit of monitoring your health too closely and taking the slightest deviations to heart – for example, a pressure surge or the appearance of unusual sensations in the body, can significantly increase the risk of a heart attack, cardiologist Anna Korenevich warns.
According to the expert, constant anxiety and fear for health can increase the level of stress, the hormone adrenaline and cause cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension and atherosclerosis. A person begins to experience frequent nocturnal awakenings, angina attacks, blood pressure jumps, headache and discomfort in the chest area, which can be signs of a silent heart attack.
However, cardiologists also report that one of the four happiness hormones, oxytocin, can help restore heart health. It can not only reduce blood pressure, the frequency and strength of heart contractions, but also restore myocardial cells after damage, for example, after a heart attack. The researchers point out that simple ways to increase oxytocin levels, such as kissing and hugging.
Thus, monitoring your health and regularly being examined is a good habit. However, extremes, such as too much close monitoring of your health, can only worsen your condition.
