“Constantine Vitagliano Opens Up About Maurice Costanzo and His Own Struggles in the Entertainment Industry”

Constantine Vitagliano he talks about himself and does so in an interview with Rtl 102.5 in which he talks about Maurice Costanzo and of his professional experience linked to the recently deceased host and writer. “I have been part of Costanzo’s family for more than ten years. I worked with them for many TV programmes, Maurizio wrote my film and then Buona Domenica. The first time, as a guest at the MCS, I got into Costanzo’s good graces and he said to me: ‘I’m selling this by the slice'”.

Then he reveals a rather touching memory: “In the morning he called me to show me the audience curve. As long as you’re high – he said – then you work. And I was calm”. But a dark moment also arrived in those successful evenings: “I lived the nightmare of panic attacks for 10 years.

At least three or four times in my life I thought I couldn’t make it, we in the entertainment world are freelancers and we live in precariousness. I started as a model and then dropped off. The ten years of TV with fashion shows and evenings have massacred me. I was no longer myself, I no longer had a life. I always had drops of tranquilizers in my pocket.” Then he added: “All that success gave me some imbalances. I still have panic attacks to this day, they never go away. But now I know how to handle them”.
