Conspirator Jonathan Blanchette put firefighters through an ordeal who tried to save him from the flames at the house where he lives in Montérégie, just four days after flooding 911 with unnecessary calls for 5 hours.
“When firefighters go to put out a fire, they are there to help and save lives. We’re not the ones lighting the fire. There is no reason to threaten us in the same way”, explains to the Journal Terry Rousseau, Director of the Vaudreuil-Dorion Fire Department.

His team intervened last Saturday, around 7:15 p.m., to put out a blaze in a residence on rue Bourget where conspirator Jonathan Blanchette lives. The latter, nicknamed “Jo L’indigo”, has boosted his popularity on the internet by sharing false information and conspiracy theories since the start of the pandemic.

According to the director of the Fire Safety Department, Mr. Blanchette refused to cooperate with the firefighters and preferred to film himself with his cellphone shouting nonsense when they arrived.
“They brought out a Winnebago [véhicule récréatif] of their entrance, which we had forbidden to move, and it passed over our guts. It influences the flow of water and it can be very dangerous for our firefighters, ”says Mr. Rousseau, with a sigh.

The recreational vehicle which rolled dangerously on the hoses, while the firefighters had forbidden the inhabitants of the house to move it from the entrance.
He adds that Jonathan Blanchette’s roommate also offered one of the firefighters to fight with him. “We see the kind of individual …”, he drops.
Remember that the conspirator was talked about four days before the fire since he had. The man had even filmed himself, live, on his Facebook page and insulting them. He was eventually arrested by the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) and criminally charged.

Victim of a Molotov cocktail?
As if that weren’t enough, Jonathan Blanchette gave another sad show on Saturday, live, on his social networks, as firefighters tried to put out the fire at his home in Vaudreuil-Dorion.
“The house is burning, there has been a [cocktail] Molotov on the roof”, claims the 36-year-old man in this long sequence of 12 minutes where he shouts while speaking alone in front of his camera.
However, according to the local Fire Department and the Sûreté du Québec, no trace of a Molotov cocktail was found at the scene. Moreover, there is nothing to suggest that the fire at “Jo L’indigo” is of a criminal nature.
“We know that the fire started on the balcony, but we could not determine the exact cause. We could not determine either that it was criminal, otherwise, there would be an investigation and the police would have taken over, ”assures Terry Rousseau.
He also specifies that the house where Jonathan Blanchette has been living for a short time is now uninhabitable due to the damage caused by the flames and the smoke.
