Consistent Support for Indonesian Art and Culture Performance, Djarum Foundation Breaks Muri’s Record

WARTAKOTALIVE.COM, JAKARTA – The commitment and consistency of the Bakti Budaya Djarum Foundation to support Indonesian arts and culture since 1992, has now received appreciation from the Indonesian World Record Museum (MURI) which awarded the record as the company that has supported the most arts and cultural performances.

This award was held in a limited manner at the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy Hall on Tuesday (30/5/2023) which was attended by Dr. H. Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, BBA, MBA as Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia Jaya Suprana as General Chair of MURI, Aylawati Sarwono as Main Director of MURI and many more.

The awarding of the MURI record award certificate was given directly by Mr. Sandiaga Uno as Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy and received directly by Ms. Renitasari Adrian as Program Director Bakti Budaya Djarum Foundation.

Until 2023, Bakti Budaya Djarum Foundation has supported and presented more than 4,000 art and cultural performances so that they can broaden their horizons and introduce culture to people at home and abroad.” said Renitasari Adrian, Program Director of Bakti Budaya Djarum Foundation.

On October 10, 2013, the Bakti Budaya Djarum Foundation presented the Rich Indonesia Gallery (GIK), located on the 8th floor of West Mall Grand Indonesia, which is the first and the only one in Indonesia that combines the concept of education with digital multimedia to introduce Indonesian culture.

Apart from Jakarta, the Bakti Budaya Djarum Foundation is also working with the Semarang City Government to present Taman Indonesia Kaya which was inaugurated on 10 October 2018.

MURI Record Award Charter

This is a park with the first open performing arts stage in Central Java which gives a new color to the city of Semarang and can become a home for Central Javanese artists which can be used for various kinds of cultural arts activities and performances for free.

“We hope that this will also encourage various companies and institutions to participate and support artists and other creative world workers so that the Indonesian performing arts industry continues to grow, develop and become the host in its own country,” concluded Renitasari.
