Arsenal players Gabriele Martinelli join the team Brazil for World Cup 2022. Brazil manager Tite reveals the main reason why Martinelli was brought to Qatar.
Martinelli impressed together Arsenal this season. The 21-year-old winger has scored five goals and two assists in 13 Premier League appearances.
Thanks to his good performance, Martinelli helped Arsenal climb the Premier League standings. That good start then led to a place on the Brazil squad for the 2022 World Cup.
Tito revealed his reasons for choosing Martinelli as one of the 26 players brought to Qatar. Tite to evaluate Martinelli appears coherent.
“We like Martinelli’s aggression. He is one of the best players in Arsenal, the Premier League’s top team,” said Tite as reported by the Mirror.
“He’s good at one-on-one, he’s very quick in transitions and he’s consistently played at a good level,” he said.
Brazil is in Group G of the 2022 World Cup along with Serbia, Switzerland and Cameroon. Selecao will face Serbia in their first match on 24 November.
