Already in January, the Ministry of Education and Science started consultations with the sports industry on the management of sports industry capital companies and a possible merger of these capital companies.
One week ago, at the extraordinary meeting of SIA “Bobsleja un kamaniņu trase” Sigulda “”, taking into account the dismissal of the current board member Daiņa Dukurs, it was decided to dismiss her position on December 11. Dukura’s last term of office will be December 10.
In order to ensure the management of the route in accordance with legal acts and the legal capacity of the Ltd., Nātriņš will be appointed the Chairman of the Board on 11 December, who will perform the duties until the holder of state capital shares elects a new candidate.
At the same time, in order to ensure the continuous course of the daily work process of the route, the meeting decided to create the position of the executive director of the route in the future by transforming the existing position of the Deputy Chairman of the Board and transferring Inga Reiniņš accordingly.
Nātriņš is currently also holding the position of a temporary member of the Board of the state SIA “Kultūras un sporta centrs” Daugavas stadions “” and SIA “Tenisa centrs” Lielupe “”.
It has already been reported that Sigulda Bobsleigh and toboggan track director Dukurs, who is also the head coach of the Latvian skeleton team, will resign as track director.
One of the reasons for leaving is the desire to devote more time to his sons skeletonists Martin and Thomas Dukuri before the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing, but the second reason for leaving the job is the desire to establish a skeleton youth academy in Sigulda to attract children who want to do this sport.
