BREDA – An unpleasant situation at the De Sik petting zoo in Breda. When volunteers arrived there this morning, one of the sheep appeared to be dying of pain. The cause was quickly found. Someone had thrown bags of bread to the sheep.
A person threw bags of bread into the sheep meadow of De Sik Petting Zoo on Monday. Perhaps this was done with good intentions, but the action caused a sheep to become seriously ill. Not only do sheep get sick from eating too much bread, there was also plastic around the bread. “We found the sheep in a lot of pain this morning. We We hope we can save the sheep,” the petting zoo said.
Anyone who wants to leave bread for the Petting Zoo is certainly welcome to do so. But then put the bread in front of the gate, is the call from the petting zoo. Never throw food into the meadow yourself.
