We enjoyed our one night stay at the Conrad. The rooms are well designed, spacious and comfortable. In general, the staff is friendly and the gym, by New York standards, is great. Its location is also hard to beat. Overall, this is a stylish and high quality hotel, which I recommend if your budget allows.
That said, I didn’t find anything particularly memorable considering its cost, including the extra services you might expect to find at a luxury property. We preferred the Conrad Downtown New York, which was more spacious, with sofas in the suites and more welcoming service.
But since this is New York, you probably won’t find many hotels that offer you much more than a comfortable night’s sleep. For us, it was a great way to use a Hilton free night award. But for cost, whether in points or dollars, I would still recommend shopping around at different hotel chains that you like, depending on your plans. You might be able to find a much cheaper hotel that will suit your needs even better.
