Alexander Kalecki managed to overcome all the hardships generously showered on him by fate.
A writer, an artist, an actor, a multifaceted and talented personality – all this can be said with confidence about Alexander Kalecki. However, all his achievements went to him so hard that you don’t know whether to envy such a fate. Problems with the authorities, escape from their homeland and fear for their lives are only a small part of this story.
The future artist was born in the distant cold Murmansk. However, soon he and his parents moved to Tula, and then to the capital, to conquer Moscow. After studying at Shchukinsky, he quickly began to play in various productions and act in films. For example, he starred in the movie hit City of First Love. In addition, Kalecki tried himself as a performer and artist. He seemed to be able to do everything. But at the same time, his views and creativity seemed to the authorities so anti-Soviet that they led to the expected result – the KGB became interested in him. Arrests of his friends, persecution and even beatings began.
As a result, Kalecki began to fear that he would be killed, so he fled abroad with his future wife Elena Bratslavskaya.
There he continued his creative activity and, it is worth noting, with considerable success. He became a famous and sought-after artist and performer. Periodically filmed, but the roles were small. Exhibitions of his work are still held in Western countries. But his personal life did not work out. After escaping from the USSR, Alexander broke up with his wife, and she went to a monastery.
