Under the supervision of Secretary Inácio Arruda, the seminar was attended by the Earth scientist and researcher at Labomar / UFC, Rozane Valente Marins, and the General Directorate of Nuclear and Technological Development of the Navy, Janis Trott. In terms of content, the focus is on the wealth generated by the oceans, with 30 million direct jobs and the equivalent of US $ 3 trillion injected into the economy annually.
The conversation also addresses the UN’s “Decade of the Oceans” that began in 2021, as well as the need to spread knowledge related to the seas and the smart use of natural resources.

In June, the month in which World Environment Day is celebrated, the project “Connection Secitece – All Connected in Science” promotes activities to stimulate a new vision of environmental problems, with a focus on resolution and human performance as transforming agent.
