The man the police have accused of complicity in the murder of Anne-Elisabeth Hagen is connected to the case through the so-called cryptographic trail.
September 30th VG could report that a new person has the status of being charged in the Lørenskog case.
Some days later, VG reported that the police had found a key clue on the defendant’s PC.
Police Inspector Lars Reinholdt-Østbye in the East Police District declined to answer VG’s questions due to the duty of confidentiality in the case.
Police confirmed Wednesday the accusation publicly.
– We believe it likely that the accused played a role in the preparatory actions related to the crypto trail, they write in a statement.
The man was given the status of accused on the basis of the information contained in the case and the investigative acts that were taken against him.
– The police are in dialogue with the lawyer to question the accused in order to clarify if he has a role in the case. This is critical for further investigation of the crypto path, they further write, adding:
– The prosecution does not change the police’s assessment of the two main hypotheses of the case, both still in full investigation phase.
Anne-Elisabeth Hagen disappeared from her home in Sloraveien 4 on October 31, 2018. Her husband, billionaire Tom Hagen, as well as a man called the cryptocurrency man, are accused of murder or complicity in the murder.
