Conmebol released this Monday the new 2021 Copa America table. Postponed due to Covid-19 last year, the competition will bring together the 10 teams from the south american continent. No guests – Australia and Qatar withdrew from participating in the tournament.

The opening will take place in Buenos Aires on June 13 – with Argentina x Chile, in the capital, and Paraguay x Bolivia, in Mendonza – and the final will be played in Barranquilla, on July 10. The two countries will host the matches.

Brazil will be in the Colombian group and play in four different cities in the first phase:

- The Brazilian debut will be on the 14th against Venezuela, in Medellín.
- Then he faces Peru, 18, in Cali.
- Then, the hostess of Colombia, 24, in Barranquilla
- The first phase closes against Ecuador, 28, in Bogotá.

With two groups of five teams, four qualify. Then come the quarterfinals, semifinals and final and dispute for third and fourth place. The finalists will therefore play seven games.

Australia and Qatar dropped out of the Copa America after the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) postponed the joint qualifying games for the 2022 World Cup and the 2023 Asia Cup due to the Covid pandemic -19.

While the Copa America is being defined, the teams are still waiting for definitions about the qualifiers. FIFA suspended the dispute in the fifth and sixth round, which was scheduled for the end of March. There was no agreement with European clubs to release athletes from those countries. There is still no date set for the rescheduling of the games.
