Colombia was not spared. The South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) revealed the severe sanction that the ‘Tricolor’ will receive for the behavior of its fans in the Copa América. The continent’s highest body had previously announced the punishment for Uruguay and its players.

According to the Disciplinary Unit of Conmebol, the Colombian National Team committed violations of article 12.2 literal (i) and (j) of the Disciplinary CodeFor this violation, the person will have to pay a fine of 30,000 dollars, which would be equivalent to a little more than 124 million Colombian pesos.

“Any other lack of order or discipline that could be committed in the stadium or its surroundings,” says the Disciplinary Unit of Conmebol. Also, A new fine of $8,000 is added for violating article 12.2, letter c, of the Disciplinary Code, in addition to another $5,000 for violating article 12.2, letter b..

Finally, Conmebol made the decision to impose a warning for violation of article 107.6 and article 10.1 (iii) of the Marketing and Media Regulations.
