Conmebol Confuses Corinthians with Santos, Calls Them “El Peixe” in Social Media Gaffe

Conmebol committed a gaffe on the day of Corinthians’ debut in the Libertadores, this Thursday. The confederation published a video of the last goal scored by the club in the competition and called Timão “El Peixe”, confusing it with the nickname given to Santos.

“Fish”, as the rival from Santos is known, was the term used by the organization when remembering Adson’s goal against Always Ready in a post on Twitter, still in the tie at home for the group stage of the competition. The last goal scored by Corinthians in the competition, even with advancement to the quarterfinals.
