Conmebol announced host cities, stadiums and the calendar for the 48th Copa América 2024 edition to be held in the United States. The South American Football Confederation shared through its social networks all the necessary information about the continental tournament that will be held in 14 cities in the North American country from June 20 to July 14, 2024, having between 2 and 3 games per venue.
“The 14 stadiums distributed in 10 states on the East Coast, Central Zone and West Coast will be dressed in the colors and image of this new edition of the oldest and most exciting national team tournament in the world,” they announced. In addition, this time, the Copa América will have 32 matches that will be played in the 25 days of competition and 16 participating teams, 10 from Conmebol and six from Concacaf, as guests.
This announcement was made after Conmebol confirmed that the opening match of the tournament will be played at Mercedes-Benz Stadium (Atlanta, GA) and the final at Hard Rock Stadium (Miami Gardens, FL). The draw will be on December 7, in the city of Miami, and all the groups whose seeds are Argentina (A), Mexico (B), United States (C) and Brazil (D) will be formed there.

As Argentina is seeded, with this information it is already known that it will play in the group stage. The first game will be at MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, New Jersey; the second at Hard Rock Stadium (Miami Gardens, FL) and the third at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta, Georgia. The quarterfinals of the Albiceleste key will be at AT&T Stadium, Arlington, Texas and at NRG Stadium, Houston, Texas, while the semifinals will be played at MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, New Jersey.
