At the opening ceremony of the Argentina Business Center held in Buenos Aires on the 11th, vocalist Jeong Howon of the Korean four-member band ‘W24’ and Argentine actress and singer ‘Angela Leyva’ performed a collaborative performance.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency announced on the 19th that they had established new local business centers in Argentina, Mexico, and Canada and held an opening ceremony to support domestic content companies’ successful entry into the North American and Latin American markets.

Through the establishment of these three new locations, Conjinwon is pioneering emerging markets such as North America, which has established itself as an influential content market, and Central and South America, which have growth potential in the content market based on abundant cultural resources.

The opening ceremony of the Argentina Business Center held in Buenos Aires on the 11th was attended by about 60 local government and industry officials, including the Buenos Aires Ministry of Culture, national broadcaster Radio e Televisión Argentina, and Netflix Argentina. The Argentina Business Center supports collaboration with local related organizations as well as corporate exchanges and marketing between the two countries. We plan to lay the foundation for growth so that domestic content can establish itself in the South American region.

The opening ceremony of the Mexico Business Center was held in Mexico City on the 7th. With about 70 people gathered, including Jeon Woo-pyo, director of the Korean Cultural Center in Mexico, Francesco Cremeria Americana president, and Director Patrico of Nonstop TV, Ambassador Heo Tae-wan of the Korean Embassy in Mexico gave a congratulatory speech. Ambassador Heo said, “As the physical distance between the two countries is long, we expect that the Mexico Business Center will serve as a bridge and expand mutual business.”

The Canadian Business Center held an opening ceremony in Toronto on the 4th with key local government and industry officials in attendance, including Jamie Burke, Deputy Director of the Department of Canadian Cultural Heritage, and Taehan Kwon, Deputy Consul General of the Consulate General in Toronto. The opening ceremony was held in conjunction with the ‘K-Animation Global Showcase in Canada’, which was held with the goal of co-producing K-animation in Canada and attracting investment.

Conjinwon currently operates 25 overseas business centers in 22 countries and supports overseas buyer matching, local network construction, overseas expansion consultation, provision of local trend information, promotional marketing, and infrastructure provision. We are taking the lead in pioneering local markets for domestic content companies and spreading K-content globally.

Hyunseok Yoo, Acting Director of Conjinwon, said, “The opening of business centers in these three countries is meaningful in that it expands our base in North America and establishes a base for entry into Central and South America for the first time.” He added, “By establishing a multifaceted support system in line with the characteristics of the local market, K -We will work hard to ensure that the content is loved by people all over the world.”
