According to information from the Public Ministry, Congresswoman Ana Paola García Soto offered money to students who could get their relatives to vote for a cousin candidate for the Chamber.

The Attorney General’s Office ordered the opening of a preliminary investigation against the representative of the Chamber, Ana Paola García Soto, for the alleged offer of money to students to whom they had paid their degree fees in exchange for getting votes for a candidate for deputy in the last October elections.
The Disciplinary Instruction Chamber maintained that according to information that was made known through social networks, the congresswoman and her cousin, Luis Miguel Rojas, apparently promised to pay the corresponding amount if the students managed to get their relatives to vote for the then candidate for hold a position in the corporation.
The disciplinary action initiated by the Entity seeks to determine the occurrence of the conduct by the representative of the department of Córdoba, establish whether it constitutes a disciplinary offense and define whether or not it acted under a cause of exclusion of liability.
