The representative to the Chamber for Huila, Víctor Tovar Trujillo, filed today the bill to prioritize municipalities in development programs with a territorial focus PDET, implemented in the Government Peace Agreement with the extinct guerrilla of the farc.
“The initiative is the product of an in-depth investigation carried out by his work team in association with the G37 foundation of the municipality of Neiva,” said the Huila congressman for the Cambio Radical party.
The project benefits the municipalities of Neiva, Acevedo, Aipe, Baraya, Campoalegre, Colombia, Gigante, Garzón, Guadalupe, Hobo, Palestina, Palermo, Pitalito, Rivera, Santa María, Suaza, Tello, Teruel, Villa Vieja and Yaguará. “They suffered to a great extent the scourge of the violence of the internal armed conflict during the last 50 years. Today they deserve fair and equitable reparation and be recognized as affected by the conflict,” the representative indicated.
He argued that the project seeks to increase the number of municipalities benefiting from this program, taking into account several more that meet the conditions of vulnerability, lack of State presence, high poverty, conflict rates. “Municipalities will benefit from priority investment for productive projects, health, countryside, reactivation, economics, housing, education, tertiary roads, among others.”
The project also increases the term of application of this program by five years, going from 10 to 15 years, “time that we believe will be sufficient and necessary to achieve progress in investment and development of these territories that the war delayed and that need special attention, even more so when we talk about the fact that this government is a government of peace; We believe with this that it is the moment in which initiatives like these will not only be heard but also approved and implemented, seeking the real peace that we all want”.
