He congressman Adriano Espaillat was recognized as the number two among the 100 most powerful in Manhattana list compiled annually by the magazine specialized in political journalism City & State New York which highlights the most influential political actors in the county.
“It is a great honor to be recognized again as one of the Manhattan Power 100and be highlighted by City & State New York for my service,” said the congressman.
“I have dedicated my whole life to fighting for the people, starting with those who have less. As the first Dominican-American to serve in the United States Congress, It is important to me that you continue to uphold America’s promise: that all people regardless of their country of birth, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or economic background have access to the American Dream,” Espaillat continued.
Recently, Rep. Espaillat raised $200 million from the City and State of New York for the redevelopment of the historic and underutilized Kingsbridge Arsenal, located at Kingsbridge Avenue and Jerome Avenue in the Bronx, a project that has the potential to generate more than 1,800 jobs and up to $10 billion in economic impactwhich will benefit and improve the quality of life of families in the Espaillat district.
