Congress sweeps the Nagpur Panchayat Samiti elections, the result of the Nagpur-bjp-congress elections

Nagpur: Congress won big in elections for President and Vice President of Panchayat Samiti in Nagpur district. The BJP failed to win even a president. She only managed to win three vice president posts.

The BJP leadership was also tired of the setback in Nagpur, home of the RSS. Nagpur is also home to State President Chandrasekhar Bawankule, Deputy Prime Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.

Congress won nine seats in the election for 13 seats as president. He has won eight out of 13 vice president posts. NCP bagged three president posts and Shiv Sena none.

The posts of president of Savoner, Kalmeshwar, Parsioni, Mouda, Kampti, Umred, Bhiwapur, Kuhi and Nagpur Rural Panchayat samiti have been eliminated by Congress. NCP won in Kathol, Narkhed and Hingana and Shiv Sena in Ramtek. The president who won in Ramtek is a Shiv Sena supporter led by Eknath Shinde.

Voting took place on Sunday to elect Sarpanch and the members of Gram Panchayats. The result will be announced today. Similarly, voting and counting will be held today for the positions of President and Vice President of Zilla Parishads.
