Chihuahua.- On October 19 of each year, it was declared State Day of the Fight against Breast Cancer, ‘by the state congress, this Wednesday during the Ordinary Session, where it was approved by 24 votes in favor.
This opinion was presented by the deputy Diana Ivette Pereda Gutiérrez on behalf of the Health Commission, who explained that at the national level only 18 federal entities consider breast cancer as a priority condition within their respective local health regulations.
For this reason, the legislator pointed out in the reading of reasons, it is necessary to establish a State Day of the Fight against Breast Cancer, as a measure to raise awareness among the population about the implications of this disease, the main cause of death in older women 25 years old.
Likewise, state and municipal authorities, autonomous bodies and civil society organizations are urged to strengthen actions that contribute to the fight against breast cancer.
