San Raymundo Jalpan, Oax. October 4th. The LXV local Legislature urges the implementation in Oaxaca of a dissemination campaign on health measures to prevent and control the spread of Covid-19 in the state.
The deputies pointed out that, in accordance with the General Health Law, it is the job of state governments, in coordination with the Secretariats of Health, to carry out epidemiological surveillance activities, prevention and control of communicable diseases such as Covid. -19.
Therefore, the State Health Secretariat must promote, guide, and support local health actions carried out by the municipalities.
The Permanent Health Commission indicated in the opinion that in Oaxaca during epidemiological weeks number 25 to 29, there was an increase of 29.4 percent in positive cases of Covid-19, going from 139 to 189 cases in the entity, therefore the importance to implement prevention campaigns.
As a result, deputies Angélica Rocío Melchor Vásquez, Minerva Leonor López Calderón, Eva Diego Cruz and Elvia Gabriela Pérez López, and deputies Víctor Raúl Hernández López and Samuel Gurrión Matías, proposed the request for said prevention campaign.
In session, the Plenary approved with 28 votes in favor the agreement by which the call is issued to the Health Services of Oaxaca.
