Congress candidate list: Congress released the first phase candidate list for the Lok Sabha elections. Rahul Gandhi will seek election from Kerala’s Wayanad constituency. The party released the first list of 39 candidates including 16 seats in Kerala on Friday.
While Palakkad MLA Shafi Parampil bagged the list as a surprise candidate, K Muralidharan was shifted from Vadakara to Thrissur. Muralidharan will replace Shafi Parambam in Vadakara. Shashi Tharoor will contest in Thiruvananthapuram and KC Venugopal in Alappuzha. The first list does not include party candidates from Uttar Pradesh.
