{The President of the Federation of Beirut Family Associations, Muhyiddin Kashli, on his behalf and on behalf of the Federation’s administrative body, congratulated His Eminence the Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, Sheikh Abdul Latif Derian, and the elected members of the Supreme Islamic Sharia Council, on the democratic process that took place on Sunday, and brought about a new elected Sharia Council that represents the best Sunni Muslim energies, whether in the governorate. The President of the Federation addressed the winners by emphasizing that they carry the trust of Sunni Muslims in Lebanon, because they expect the new council to work diligently, headed by His Eminence the Mufti of the Republic, to develop the institutions operating within the framework of Dar Al-Fatwa, under the supervision, support and care of His Eminence. The President of the Union also congratulated the winners in Beirut and gave special mention to the member of the Union’s administrative body, Mr. Abdullah Shaheen, who won the elections on Sunday. The President of the Federation of Beirut Families Associations placed the capabilities of the federation at the disposal of His Eminence the Mufti of the Republic and the new Council for the Advancement of Institutions, whether in Beirut or in the regions.
The President of the Union stressed that Muslims in Beirut and all of Lebanon are waiting with hope and confidence from the new council, headed by His Eminence the Mufti of the Republic, Sheikh Abdul Latif Derian, for achievements and projects at the level of the very delicate stage that Lebanon is going through.
{The Secretary of the Islamic Group in Lebanon, Sheikh Muhammad Taqqoush, sent a cable to the winners of membership in the Supreme Islamic Sharia Council, congratulating him and “appreciating the responsibility that has fallen upon them in working to advance the Islamic reality and activating the role of Islamic institutions in cooperation with the religious authority, in addition to working for the unity of the Islamic ranks.” ,
He assured the winners that “the group will stand by them and with them to achieve these goals.”
{The Islamic Group commented on the results of the elections for the Supreme Sharia Council, and said in a statement: “Once again, the Sunni Muslims in Lebanon prove their keenness on the shuraization of institutions and the sharing of responsibility, and as it congratulated the winners, the members of the elected Islamic Sharia Council for fortifying the House of Fatwa and standing behind His Eminence the Mufti of the Republic to develop administrative systems. Strengthening the role of the Council in caring for the Sharia courts, developing endowments and developing their resources, and taking the major national role to advance the country and contribute to addressing the problems of its people.
{The Al-Fakahani Association praised the blessed step represented by the completion of the elections for the Supreme Islamic Sharia Council under the supervision of the Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, Sheikh Abdul Latif Derian, who is keen on ensuring that the Fatwa House adheres to the laws and entitlements that fall within the scope of regular work in this noble house, which embodies in its approach the values of moderation, centrism, and the unifying national role. The association congratulated the winners and wished them success during their term in the new council.
