Congratulations! Pertamina Wins New Award, It Turns Out Because of This

Pertamina won the Best PKBL category award Mining and Quarrying with Outstanding Program in Quality Education and Training at the Indonesia CSR-PKBL Award 2020 which was held Economic News in Jakarta, Wednesday (23/9/2020).

This award is given to companies that have good social responsibility performance by applying the Triple Bottom Line practice.

Award submission is carried out online through the Zoom application by Muhammad Ihsan, CEO of Warta Ekonomi and received by Arya Dwi Paramita, VP of CSR & SMEPP of PT Pertamina (Persero) and witnessed by Fadel Muhammad as President Commissioner and Founder of Warta Ekonomi. At this event, Juliari Peter Batubara, Minister of Social Affairs RI, also attended and gave a response.

Social Minister Juliari P Batubara said that the existence of PKBL which is a social responsibility for BUMN is not only mandatory, but can also have a positive impact that can be felt by the community directly

“Congratulations and success to the winners, I hope that with this appreciation, business actors will be able to remind each other and fight for the alignment of profits, social relations and environmental sustainability,” said Juliari.

Juliari added, program CSR and the existing PKBL can be energized with government programs, especially social empowerment programs and poverty alleviation programs.

“The government is happy and enthusiastic to hold joint discussions and create synergies and CSR collaborations,” he added.

VP CSR and Pertamina’s SMEPP, Arya Dwi Paramita said that in carrying out its social and environmental responsibility programs, Pertamina always adheres to ISO 26000 by paying attention to inclusive and collaborative aspects to achieve the target of community independence and support the Government in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

“In carrying out this CSR program Pertamina implementing 4 strategic pillars, namely education, health, environment and economic empowerment, “said Arya.

According to Arya, Pertamina has various educational programs that focus on remote areas, such as in the border areas of Indonesia and Malaysia, namely the Borderline School on Sebatik Island and the Literacy and Literacy program for ethnic Anak Dalam residents in Jambi. Both are excellent educational programs located around Pertamina’s operational areas.

“Currently Pertamina is also running the Kampuspreneur program, to invite universities to become young entrepreneurs so they can jointly rise from the Covid pandemic,” he added.

Pertamina, added Arya, continues to run CSR and PKBL programs in various regions in order to achieve the SDGs target to improve the quality of inclusive education and provide equal learning opportunities, including for children with disabilities and children in 3T (Disadvantaged, Frontier and Outermost Areas) ).
