Manager Manchester City Pep Guardiola happy with success Argentina wins the 2022 World Cup. Because Lionel Messi deserves it.
Messi put an end to his curiosity by taking the Tango Team to the world championships. In last weekend’s final, Argentina beat France 4-2 on penalties after a 3-3 draw.
This is Argentina’s third World Cup title or first for Messi after failing in the previous four editions, including the 2014 final.
Messi can now establish himself as the best player of all time, because he has won all the prestigious titles at club and country level.
Prior to that, Messi also helped Argentina win the 2021 Copa America and the 2022 Grand Final. Messi’s success also made Guardiola happy.
Messi’s former Barcelona manager believes the 35-year-old deserves the World Cup for his hard work so far.
Not to forget, Guardiola also congratulated City forwards Julian Alvarez and Nicolas Otamendi.
“We are happy to see Julian become a champion. He plays often and makes a big contribution to the team, because of their style of play. We have world champions in our squad,” he said Pep Guardiola as quoted Independent.
“We are very happy that he won. Congratulations to him, also to Nico Otamendi and, of course, personally to Leo Messi, because Argentina as a nation deserves to be champions.”
