VIVA – James Webb, hunting universe broom telescope alien, finally launched into space on the Ariane 5 rocket booster. The launch took place at exactly 07.20 EST or 19.20 WIB from the Kourou Space Center, Guyana, France, Saturday night, December 25, 2021.
NASA spokesman Rob Navias reported that all systems were green in the seconds of launch until they finally took off on time.
“LIFTOFF! (Takeoff). James Webb Telescope NASA successfully launched a mission to find out the origin of the universe,” he said, as quoted from the website Space.
The giant mirror will be launched aboard the Ariane 5 rocket operated by European Arianespace. The observatory is led by the Aeronautics and Space Administration or NASA with contributions from the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Canadian Space Agency (CAA).
Once launched, the alien-hunting universe broom telescope will spend its first month in space in an elaborate sequence of deployments and travel to its station about 1 million miles (1.6 million kilometers) away from Earth.
In mid-2022, scientists from the three space agencies from these three countries hope that James Webb will start working on observations of the solar system, galaxies, and even further afield.
The observatory will also specialize in gathering infrared light that will help astronomers study the early period of the universe.
