Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Startup company shares (startup) decacorn (valuation of more than US$ 10 billion) PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) was officially transacted on the Indonesian capital market yesterday, Monday (11/4/2022).
GoTo, which released 40,615,056,000 shares at a selling price of Rp. 338/unit, managed to obtain funding of Rp. 13.7 trillion. GOTO’s market capitalization value has even reached Rp 400 trillion and is in the top 4 public companies with the largest market cap in Indonesia.
The interesting thing about the public offering (IPO) process of GOTO shares is that the company allocates shares for driver partners and traders in its ecosystem worth Rp 310 billion through the Mutual Cooperation Shares Program.
The Gotong Royong Share Program is a way for GOTO to provide shares for free to all loyal and qualified driver partners in Indonesia.
GOTO ensures that almost all active driver-partners in Indonesia have the opportunity to participate in this program. Drivers who have been registered as partners since 2010 – 2016 have the opportunity to receive 4,000 shares of series A GoTo.
Through the Mutual Cooperation Share Program, it means that every Gojek driver or driver is entitled to GOTO shares worth IDR 1,552,000.
Meanwhile, Gojek driver partners who joined above in 2017 will get 1,000 shares or Rp. 338,000.
In yesterday’s trading, GOTO’s share price closed up 13.02% to the level of Rp. 382/share. From the allocation of funds provided by GOTO for this share ownership program of Rp. 310 billion, the value is now Rp. 350.4 billion. There is a margin difference of IDR 40 billion which is used by the driver partners.
President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) online had time to congratulate him on the listing of Indonesia’s largest decacorn stock.
Jokowi appreciated the distribution of shares to Gojek driver partners, through the Mutual Cooperation Shares Program.
The program was immediately welcomed by President Joko Widodo who conveyed his congratulations online.
“I congratulate PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk on the implementation of the IPO on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. I also appreciate the inclusive mutual cooperation program and open hundreds of thousands of access for driver partners, MSME partners and consumers,” said Jokowi.
Jokowi hopes that the listing of GoTo shares can motivate young Indonesians to provide new energy for the leap in the country’s economic progress.
