Reviews of the author’s books

Dear Mr. Raikov,

I have to express my sincere congratulations and thanks for the wonderful book dedicated to Paris, which is a kind of guide for all who love and wish to visit the beautiful French capital. With confidence and hope to see you again on a similar pleasant occasion, I ask you to accept, Mr. Raikov, the expression of my excellent respect.

Etienne de Ponsin, Ambassador of the Republic of France, on the occasion of the book “55 Secrets of Paris”

My friend, I wish you beautiful creative freedom. Thank you for welcoming me to your country. I hope to read your books in French one day. Let my sympathy be with you, writer!

Bestselling author Mark Levy to Dimo Raykov

Reading the books of Dimo Raykov, I am convinced that fate, history chooses its “observers” and chroniclers. By all accounts, it seems that Dimo Raikov is one of them. He himself defines his mission as noble and grateful. And more importantly, he has a sense of mission.

Literary critic Konstantin Elenkov

The book is both entertaining and socially reprehensible. A living, true book through which Dimo Raykov returns to Bulgarian literature.

Literary critic Katya Zografova for “Paris, my Paris…”

Dimo Raykov’s new book “Chestnuts from Paris” is one of those that leaves no one indifferent: they captivate, make you cry and shock with the greatness and fall of their heroes. These are Bulgarians who emigrated to Paris, some of whom have preserved their humanity, while others have allowed selfishness to turn their hearts into a lump of ice.

Ludmila Gabrovska, “Monitor” village

I was lucky enough to buy Mr. Raikov’s book at the NDK Book Fair and read it in no time – the pleasure is incomparable. There are things that rock. I will also get the rest of the books by this interesting writer – such texts should be read by as many Bulgarians as possible.

A reader’s review of the book 55 Secrets of Paris

“Diagnosis: Bulgarian abroad”: I received it yesterday, I read it in one sitting last night! A sincere, suffered, full of pain and love book! Warm thanks to Dimo Raykov for the shared stories, told masterfully, but also with so much feeling! I sympathize as a Bulgarian and an emigrant…
