A confrontation between drug traffickers and members of the Army in the Guerrero municipality of Coyuca de Catalán, left at least seven dead, two of them soldiers.
The battle occurred between 2 and 4 in the afternoon this Friday, near the “El Pescado” Community, when the group of security forces with members of the Army toured the area.
It was reported that 18 of the hitmen were traveling in two vehicles, but on the way they ran into the military and the confrontation began.
Unofficially it is handled that Orbelín Hernández and two of his children died in the place, they were cataloged as the main generators of violence in the upper part of Tierra Caliente.
In the confrontation, 5 hitmen and two soldiers were killed, in addition to the fact that 2 soldiers were injured.
A second confrontation is also reported about 10 kilometers from the El Pescado community. This community is located near the “El Durazno” community where in mid-December 2022 7 people were murdered by alleged members of the Michoacana Family.
