Conflicts between factions in the Democratic Party of Korea are resurfacing over the innovation proposals that the Innovation Committee put forward after the end of its activities.
Conflicting public remarks were made even within the leadership over the reduction of the delegates’ authority, and members of the “Bi-Lee Jae-Myeong-gye” poured out a message that they could not approve the innovation.

“It’s hard to see why we have to go through this irrationality solely to elect Democratic representatives and leadership.”

″I hope we can realize together that refusing to innovate just because you don’t like it is the way to make yourself obsolete.″
The reduction of the powers of the delegates is evaluated as advantageous to the system of representative Lee Jae-myung, who is supported by Kang Seong party members, who are called ‘dog daughters’.
Rep. Jeon Hae-cheol, a member of the provincial government, criticized the innovation plan, saying that “the representative system has supplemented the limits of direct democracy.”
Fourth-term lawmaker Hong Young-pyo wrote, “It’s not an innovation plan, it’s a party power plan.”
On the other hand, pro-Myeong-gye Rep. Kim Yong-min and some party members held a press conference and evaluated that it was “normalization, not abolition of the representative system.”

″I warmly welcome all Democratic Party Rights members who agree with the statement demanding revision of our delegate system last May.″
Representative Lee Jae-myung gave a principled answer to the situation where the innovation committee rekindled the factional conflict within the party.

″We will go through discussions within the party to produce reasonable results. <이 시점에 가장 적절한 제안이었는지 의문들이 나오고 있는데요.>…″
