Gyeonggi Suwon Jungbu Police Station urgently arrested a man in his 20s for murdering a resident next door who had a conflict over noise transmitted through the walls.
According to the police, the man is accused of arguing with a man in his 40s next door over the noise between the walls in the hallway of a five-story one-room hotel in Jangan-gu, Suwon, around 10:00 the night before, dragging him into his house and killing him.
It was confirmed that the man abandoned the body in the bathroom at home immediately after the crime, and then visited a nearby police station the next day and surrendered.
It was confirmed that the unemployed man stated in a police investigation that “there was a conflict between the victim and the noise between the walls” and that “I felt remorse and surrendered in fear.”
A police official said, ″We are also checking whether there is a circumstance that the man tried to erase the CCTV footage of the hallway of the studio apartment.″ He said, ″We will apply for an arrest warrant today.″
