Conflict in the United Right was resolved
On Saturday, the leaders of the United Right: PiS president Jarosław Kaczyński, of the Agreement – Jarosław Gowin and Solidarna Polska – Zbigniew Ziobro signed a new coalition agreement. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki was also present.
– I think that this clear and legible signal was given to the Poles during the meeting at Nowogrodzka Street, when we signed the contract and indicated that for the next three years we want to implement a good program agreed upon as part of the compromises for Poland – said Ziobro on TVP, referring to this the contract. As he noted, “this is not the time for quarrels and conflicts that would lead to new choices.”
When asked what made the coalition partners the most different, Ziobro replied that “it seems that the program matters were of a fundamental nature.” “Perhaps not enough conversation beforehand,” he added.
– It is also a fact that there are many more changes ahead of us that we must introduce and some of them may actually lead to certain differences in perception and goals and sense of introducing such or other statutory solutions. For this you need a dialogue and we have shown that we can talk, we can make compromises, which are not always easy, but they are necessary – said Ziobro.
“We have arranged a meeting in the near future, also the program – further talks on the details of the implementation of the program of this good change for Poland for the next three years” – he added.
Ziobro on the conflict with Morawiecki
When asked if there was a conflict “between Ziobro and Morawiecki,” he replied that “in professional politics there is no such thing as personal conflicts and personal animosities painted by some media.” “In professional politics, if there are responsible people who are aware of the seriousness of the decisions they make, they are doomed to cooperation and dialogue, and it also happens that there are differences between them” – said Ziobro.
– I can say that Prime Minister Morawiecki is a very experienced banker, a very experienced man in the field of economics, his knowledge, especially during a pandemic, is extremely valuable and we cooperate. In many cases we agree, we jointly support laws and changes in the country, and sometimes we have differences of views and opinions. It’s good that we can always honestly communicate it to each other – said Ziobro.
According to him, “this kind of professional, good cooperation was and is possible”. – And I believe in it for the next three years between Solidarna Polska and Prime Minister Morawiecki, he added.
– I am convinced that now, with the next three years ahead of us, we will be able to talk and discuss in harmony and adopt a plan that will allow us to implement the reform of the judiciary to the end – said Ziobro.
