A purely positive cultural event, such as the Jiráský Hronov theater show, was marred by an attack on an actress from one of the ensembles on Friday. The organizers published the incident on their Facebook page. “However, the whole situation is very unpleasant both for the actors themselves and for the festival and especially for the festival guests and visitors. Any resolution of conflicts in the form of violence is unacceptable,” they wrote.

“We apologize to the attacked actress and the visitors for running the festival,” said organizers Šárka Čmelíková, Jan Julínek and Josef Jan Kopecký.
The incident is being investigated by the police. “We received a report of a conflict between two people on Friday at 5 p.m. We are dealing with it as an offense against civil coexistence,” spokeswoman for the Králové Hradec regional police, Iva Kormošová, told Deník.
The organizers of Jiráskov Hronov did not publish further details, they did not respond to Deník’s question. Their sentence in the announcement on Facebook in the wording “The employer took the necessary measures immediately after the incident” remains only conjecture.
