Group Function Committee Leader Communication & ESG Astra Financial, Yulian Warman, explained that the confiscated motorbike was not just left in the warehouse, but was offered back to other people as a used product.
“There are various kinds, some are immediately auctioned after being towed, some are sold again. You have to check first how complete (the condition of the vehicle) is,” said Yulian Warman when met in South Jakarta, some time ago.

Interestingly, said Yulian, there are also consumers who have difficulty paying their monthly credit, then ask the leasing company to temporarily confiscate their motorbike. So, when you have the funds, the consumer can ‘redeem’ the vehicle. However, it should be noted, there must be an agreement at the start.
“There are also customers who actually can afford it, but because they’re unlucky they can’t pay, so their motorbikes are confiscated first. Once they have the money they can redeem them. But with an agreement or communication in advance,” he said.
Can’t Afford Credit, Communicate!
On the same occasion, Yulian asked consumers who had difficulty paying installments to immediately communicate to the leasing company. Because, if the reasons are clear and reasonable, they will be given relief.
“If you don’t have the funds to pay, he (the customer) has to communicate. He might just get into trouble, like his house or vehicle catching fire. The company also has tolerance,” he said.

Yulian reminded that communication is an important thing that must be maintained between customers and the company. Make sure it is always well established so that there are no misunderstandings. Apart from that, he also ensured that debt collectors cannot arbitrarily carry out collections on location.
“So it doesn’t matter whether you have to pay or not (when a debt collector visits you), there are stages first. Sending a debt collector to your house is the last action. If there is a disaster and you can’t pay, just say so,” he said.
