Confirms new DNA sample by Viggo Kristiansen – VG

The police have taken a new DNA sample of Viggo Kristiansen, confirms a spokesperson for Viggo Kristiansen’s support group, Terje Helland, to VG.

Published:

– I can confirm that the Oslo police were there today. They asked if they could come today because they were in Sørlandet. Viggo said it was okay, Helland says to VG.

VG has been in contact with public prosecutor Andreas Schei who has no more information about the sampling and can not confirm whether samples will be taken by several people.

– Formally, I do not know how the sampling went, but I assume that the sample was taken in line with safe practice, and in accordance with the agreement made with Kristiansen, says Kristiansen’s defender Bjørn André Gulstad to VG.

Jan Helge Andersen’s defender, Svein Holden, will not comment on the case.

Arvid Sjødin, also Kristiansen’s defender, says that it was agreed that people from the Oslo police should go to Kristiansand, so that the Agder police district was not involved. Kristiansen has previously opposed the sample being taken by Agder because of «The history of the case».

– It is due to a lot of clutter with DNA sampling and then it can be an advantage to keep Agder out. They agreed. Two have been on site: One to take the test and one for support, Sjødin says to VG.
