John Laporta has lost one of the pearls he had eyed for this winter market. although the FC Barcelona tried to test his signature, the player finally opted for another team to embark on a new adventure in Europe. Let’s talk about Andrey Santos.
Chelsea formalize their purchase and Laporta loses the battle
As in recent weeks, the Brazilian talent had attracted the attention of half of Europe, including Barcelona. However, the fact that no players left the team and the financial problems meant that Laporta threw in the towel with him without trying practically to convince him.
In that scenario, the Chelsea he accelerated all the operations for his signing and finally they bought the midfielder. The Brazilian team announced this Friday the signing of the Brazilian midfielder 18 years of Vasco da Gama and the agreement would have been closed by the CEO a figure close to twelve and a half million euros.
Santos, who started playing futsal in Sao Januario, became in 2021 the the youngest footballer to play for Vasco da Gama in the 21st centuryovertaking players like Philippe Coutinho. He leaves the Brazilian club with a total of 38 games played and eight goals.
The signing of Santos is Chelsea’s third in this transfer window, following Molde’s David Datro Fofana and Monaco’s Benoit Badiashile in exchange for €40m.
Despite being a fiasco for Barcelona, Laporta still has many players on his list of future signings. Like this, the culés will have to find another pivot for the future to take over from Sergio Busquets.
Thanks for everything, even from afar I will always be in the crowd! 💢🥹 https://t.co/hNRRCQAjpM
