8:45 am: an additional death at the hospital
For three days, the health authorities no longer communicate on the number of cases of coronavirus recorded in Auvergne Rhône-Alpes but on the number of patients treated in hospital. According to figures released this Saturday March 28 by the Regional Health Agency, they are 53 hospitalized in Ain, 4 more than the day before. The number of coronavirus deaths in hospitals has increased to 3, one more victim to be deplored, or 6 in total in the department, since the start of the epidemic.
2,865 patients with Covid-19 were or are being treated at the hospital in the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region. Among them, 1,943 patients with Covid-19 are hospitalized in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes on March 28, of which 1,416 (72.9%) are in conventional hospitalization, 441 (22.7%) in intensive care / intensive care, 81 (4.2%) in follow-up care and rehabilitation and 5 (0.3%) in psychiatry. 196 hospital deaths were reported on March 28 in the region (+ 30 deaths compared to the previous day). 709 patients with Covid-19 returned home in total (+ 91 home returns compared to Friday).
