WASHINGTON, Monday — The chief health adviser to U.S. President Joe Biden, Anthony Fauci, said the United States would not impose a lockdown (lockdown) although Covid-19 cases due to the Delta variant have soared in a number of regions of the country. The level of vaccination that has been achieved by the US is one of the main considerations for the country not to close its territory.

“I don’t think we’re going to do a lockdown,” Fauci said at the event This Week on the ABC media network, Sunday (1/8/2021) local time.
