Difficult motorbikes to overtake
A resident named Gracia Anindia shared her experience of getting stuck in a traffic jam while crossing Jl S Parman, West Jakarta, this morning. Gracia admits that motorists find it difficult to overtake when facing traffic jams on the road.
“So I’m boarding a boarding house in Tanjung Duren and I want to go to work in the direction of South Jakarta which requires me to go through there (Jl S Parman), so every day there must be really traffic jams even though riding a motorbike is still difficult to make skids because it’s so crowded,” said Gracia when contacted, Wednesday (8/2/2023).
Gracia admitted that she was crossing Jl S Parman from the direction of Tomang this morning. He compared his journey with normal traffic and it could take around 20 minutes, but during traffic jams it could take up to 40 minutes to arrive at his office in the Jl Rasuna Said area, South Jakarta.
According to him, the congestion occurred due to the dense volume of vehicles.
“The traffic jams are in the Tomang-Letjen S Parman area, you can walk but it’s creeping like that, it takes 15 minutes alone, there are traffic jams on the road, which usually arrive at the office at 8 this morning after 15 minutes, the traffic jam was quite bad, because many cars came out anticipating rain again, because last night it rained heavily and it was still a little drizzling in the morning,” he said.
“What should normally only take 25 minutes can be 35-40 minutes on the road,” he said.
