Jakarta –
Experts say Omicron triggers milder symptoms than other previous variants. But there are also two-time COVID-19 survivors who feel otherwise.
Rahma (26) is one of them. This woman from Medan was infected for the second time in early January 2022 when the Omicron variant began to dominate COVID-19. If in the previous infection he was asymptomatic, this time he experienced more complaints.
“The symptoms are flu and fever,” he said when contacted by detikcom.
Rahma was first infected in August 2021, when there was a surge in the Delta variant in Indonesia. At that time, he did not experience any symptoms or asymptomatic.
Of course not everyone feels the same way. SS from Bali also admitted that he had a cold when he was recently infected with COVID-19. Despite the complaints, he felt the infection this time was much lighter than his first experience when the Delta variant was dominating.
At that time, he had to be hospitalized for 10 days. Even then, it still has to be continued with recovery at home for up to 7 days.
“Because there was pneumonia, the heart also started pounding. The heart rate was above 120 and the saturation also dropped to 86,” he said.
