JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – The police have arrested the main perpetrator who dismantled the empty luxury house and ransacked all its contents in Kedoya, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta, some time ago.
The perpetrator was arrested while hiding inside a security guard post, in a luxury housing complex, in the Kembangan area, West Jakarta, Sunday (28/3/2021).

The police then took the perpetrator to the Kebon Jeruk Police Headquarters for further investigation. From the results of the investigation, the perpetrator named Ari Wijaya admitted that he did not have a permanent job.
Ari has the intention of raiding the contents of the house and its furniture, knowing that the luxury house is empty and has no occupants.
Ari then used the proceeds from the sale of part of the house contents and furniture to pay off the six months’ arrears in rent.
“I was right at the start to pay my debt, sir. My contract was for six months in arrears,” said Ari.
When the money ran out, Ari admitted that he had slept on the side of the road.
“I contracted for two days, sir, in the Kampung Baru area, sir. After contracting it, I just wandered by the roadside, sir, slept on the side of the road. My money is also gone, sir,” he continued.
