Confession of household members who abuse employers: stress, frequent scolding, heavy workload page all

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – A household assistant (ART) persecuted her elderly employer at a house in Taman Palem Lestari, Cengkareng, West Jakarta, Sunday (16/5/2021).

The perpetrator with the initials NN (32) admitted that he was stressed because of the heavy workload for three months of work.

“I am really tired at work because I really hold a large three-story house, wash it with my hands too, I don’t have a washing machine,” said NN to reporters, Tuesday (18/5/2021).

According to him, three other household members had quit this job because they were unable to. NN also wanted to quit her job.

“It’s my turn to ask to stop, I can’t continue, I’m on my own. Yes, I’m stressed,” he said.

NN also admitted that she was often scolded by victims, namely her elderly employers.

NN initially wanted to report the act employer it to the police. However, he admitted that he did not report it because his cellphone was lost.

Now, it was NN who was secured by the police for mistreating her employer.

“We managed to secure the perpetrator not long after receiving the victim’s report,” said Cengkareng Police Chief, Kompol Egman in a written statement, Tuesday.

Egman said, the persecution started when NN did not accept when reprimanded by his employer, on Sunday (16/5/2021).

“At around 10.00 WIB the victim (on behalf of) Yusni Etty was at home then the victim saw a soaking pot rice cooker used, “said Egman.

According to the victim, the suspect used too much water. He also scolded NN. However, NN ignored the victim’s words so the victim cursed.

“So the victim cursed at the perpetrator with the word ‘devil’, because the victim was annoyed and ignored by the perpetrator,” said Egman.

When he heard the curse, the suspect NN immediately came over and cursed at the victim.

The perpetrator also scratched the victim’s left wrist and kicked the victim’s left leg.

Egman said that the incident was not the first time the victim had a problem with NN.

The day before, the suspect hit the victim’s arms with an empty gallon of water.

“The problem is that the perpetrator cooked the eggs without the victim’s knowledge, even though there was already a chicken opor at home. Because of this, the victim reprimanded him. But the perpetrator did not accept it and did this,” said Egman.

According to Egman, this incident was reported by the victim on Sunday. Shortly after receiving the report, the police secured NN.

Meanwhile, NN was charged with Article 351 of the Criminal Code.

CCTV camera footage containing the event went viral on social media.

The video caption states that the persecution took place on Saturday and Sunday, May 15 and 16, 2021.

There are three clips of the video that have gone viral. The video is a compilation of persecution. In the first video, you can see the female household member carrying a small child.

Then, ART scratched an elderly woman. The household member also moved the chair the victim was currently sitting on.

In the second video, the perpetrator and the victim are involved in an argument. The perpetrator and the victim both pointed at each other.

Suddenly, the perpetrator took the empty water gallon and was about to swing it towards the victim. However, there was someone’s voice that intervened them.

The victim then entered the room. The third video is a connection to the second video clip.

The perpetrator is being detained by another person. However, when the person who intervened was careless, the perpetrator took the gallon and ran towards the room where the victim was.

At the end of the video, the identity of the ART is revealed. Photos from ART are also included.

“Please help viralize this person so that this person can no longer work anywhere, so that no other parent becomes a victim of violence and so that law enforcement officials can proceed to legal channels,” wrote the caption in the video.
