TRIBUNNEWS.COM – Head of the Accident Section of the Law Enforcement Sub-Directorate, Traffic Directorate of the East Java Police, Kompol Hendry Ferdinand Kennedy revealed the latest information regarding the accident that killed Vanessa Angel and her husband, Bibi Andriansyah.
According to Hendry, the driver Vanessa Angel, that is Tubagus Joddy claimed to have played with cellphones while driving.
This was done by a man whose full name is Tubagus Muhammad Joddy before the fatal accident occurred on the segment Jombang Toll-Mojokerto on Thursday (11/4/2021).
“Yes, he said that (playing cellphone while driving, ed) during interrogation,” said Hendry, quoted from Kompas.com.
In addition to admitting to having played with mobile phones, Joddy also admitted that he was driving a car at high speed, to be exact, at 120 kilometers per hour.
“The driver admitted that it was 120 kilometers per hour,” said Hendry.
From confession Joddy, the police eventually confiscated mobile phones and electronic evidence which are now being submitted for forensic examination.
Police are also investigating the allegations Joddy sleepy before the accident.
