The Judicial Power of the State, headed by the presiding magistrate Juan Óscar Trinidad Palacios, in coordination with the Institute of the Judiciary of Canada, carried out the virtual course called The Principles and the Application of the Precedent, aimed at attached Magistrates, Magistrates, Judges and Judges to this house of justice in the State of Chiapas.
This course was given by Judge Joseph Bovard, Judge Brian Lennox and Director Brenda Cupper, who are members of the National Institute of the Judiciary of Canada; and on the part of the Judicial Power, the counselors of the Judiciary, Isela de Jesús Martínez Flores and María Itzel Ballinas Barbosa; the director of the Institute for Training, Professionalization and Judicial Careers, Pedro Farro Álvarez; the First Instance judge of the Huixtla District Criminal Court, Zelmira Perla del Rocío Gutiérrez Beltrán and the First Instance judge of the Control and Prosecution Court of the Tapachula Judicial District, Rafael Flores Rodríguez.
During her speech, the counselor Isela de Jesús, on behalf of the presiding magistrate Juan Óscar Trinidad Palacios, expressed that since the Constitutional Reform of this year, there is great interest on the part of the house of justice, and in particular on the part of the magistrate President, that all the people who administer justice of the Judicial Power of the State be trained, in order to be at the forefront in their jurisdictional function, carrying out the pertinent actions, such as the course that was carried out.
In addition, the counselor Martínez Flores urged the public servants who attended this exercise to participate proactively in the working groups that will be established for discussion and analysis of this issue, which will previously be addressed by Canadian courts, who have great experience in the application of this doctrine, since the use of the Precedent in its resolutions dates back many decades.
With these courses and training, the State Judiciary continues to seek constant updating of its public servants, in order to be able to offer Chiapas society a dignified and quality service. Official bulletin
