Condoms and amulets found after the Hakekok group bathed naked together, this is what the police say

PANDEGLANG, KOMPAS.com – Members of the Pandeglang Police confiscated a number of pieces of evidence after the group that followed the teachings of Hakekok held a nude bathing ritual together.

Pandeglang Police Chief AKBP Hamam Wahyudi said the items that were secured were books, a number of heirlooms, amulets, and condoms.

“It is true that it was found in one of the person’s residence, we secure the goods,” said Hamam at the Pandeglang Prosecutor’s Office, Saturday (13/3/2021).

The items, he said, were found at the house of the leader of the Hakekok group named Arya.

Hamam did not explain the condom found. However, for the talisman, Arya kept it as a handle to influence his followers.

“Owned by the chairman as the handle concerned. His name is a leader who has more desire to influence his followers,” he said.

Previously it was reported, Arya and 15 followers of Hakekok teachings are now at the Pandeglang Police Headquarters.

They were secured while holding a nude bathing ritual together.

The 16 people consisted of men and women and three children.

They are all residents of Karangbolong Village, Cigeulis District, Pandeglang.

Meanwhile, the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) called the Hakekok teachings a deviant sect.

This group was fostered several years ago. However, now it has returned.

After being secured, Arya, the leader of the Hakekok teachings, pleaded guilty and wanted to repent.
