The condolences for the late director Mounir Rady began at the Hamidiya Shazliyya Mosque, and the artist Afaf Rady was keen to receive condolences for her brother. Her daughter, the singer Mai Kamal, was also present, and director Ashraf Fayek and the journalist Mahmoud Maarouf were keen to attend from the first minutes.
The family of the late great director Mounir Rady had buried his body with a number of filmmakers. Among his family were his brother, director of photography, Magdy Rady, his nephew, director Ihab Rady, son of the late Mohamed Rady, director Hanan Rady, director Mohamed Mostafa, director of photography, Samir Gabr, and Dr. Hussein Bakr, director of photography, and one of his close students. His funeral was held and he was buried in the Nasr City cemetery.
It is noteworthy that the deceased belonged to the artistic Rady family, which contributed to the production of the films “Life is a Moment,” “Sons of Silence,” and “The Wall of Heroes.” He also worked as an assistant director in the film “Sons of Silence,” one of the first films filmed from the locations of real events and shown immediately after the October War.
Mounir Rady grew up in an artistic family that included a number of film and theater makers, including the director Mohamed Rady, the artist and director Mr. Rady, and the great singer Afaf Rady – and the late became a director later, and he has a number of famous films and the author of two films on the list of the 100 best films in the history of Egyptian cinema. “The President’s Visit” and “Days of Rage.”
